The Picnick Has Been Rained Out

As you know, or maybe you don’t, the popular and SUPER easy to use photo editing site known as Picnik has been rained out… indefinitely. Picnik was my favorite because it had really fun features  and helped me easily edit my photos for my Etsy shop. It was quick, painless, and saved time.  It helped me bring my photos into the same league as some of the big boys and girls on Etsy.  It helped to increase my product and shop views because better pictures mean better sales.  It’s true. Best of all? It was free. So when I received the email that they were packing up their sandwiches and going home, I was really sad but more importantly I needed a solution.

I tried Gimp, which is similar to Photoshop, but I really did not care for it and when I downloaded it, my computer nearly blew up from a virus. Not Gimp’s fault but left a bad taste in my mouth. I really have never cared for Photoshop because I lack patience for things like that but it is a great program.  Many of my friends use it with no problem, but it just isn’t for me. I need the ease of programs like Picnik. So, I kept searching and trying new things.

Then…. I found Picassa. It is a Google program and it is nearly IDENTICAL to Picnic!  I actually think it is faster and more efficient. I can do all of the same things with it but with no surprise really; Picnik transferred to Google.

So, if you’ve been looking for an easy to use, friendly photo editing program, look no further. I highly recommend Picassa. Really helps my zombie products stand out.
